Nebraska Book Company (NBC), a leading provider of textbooks and solutions for the college retail marketplace, is pleased to announce several changes to its Enterprise Sales team, resulting in the strengthening of its team structure and realigning territories to ensure the best possible customer support to clients.
Mark Palmore has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales based on his extensive experience and skill in navigating the higher education retail industry. Palmore has served as Vice President of Sales and Strategic Services for NBC since April 2013. Prior industry experience includes serving as Executive Director of Connect2One for 12 years prior to his current position.
Shannon Blackwell has been promoted from Regional Sales Manager to Vice President of Sales for NBC. Blackwell has a vast background in team leadership and development as well as experience in creating and implementing strategic business and operational plans that focus on identifying needs and improvement opportunities. With over 10 years’ experience in the higher education industry, Shannon brings a unique perspective in regard to engaging today’s college student.
“I am dedicated as an advocate for college retailers, and the best way I’ve found to do that over the years is to listen to what challenges and struggles our clients are facing and find long-term solutions that cater specifically to those needs,” Blackwell said.
NBC’s Regional Sales Manager Ed Dillon has been promoted to Vice President of Sales. Ed has a proven track record of driving significant growth during his 26-year tenure serving the Higher Education market. His leadership experience includes building top-performing sales teams in addition to leading strategic collaboration between customers and product development.
“Throughout my career I have repeatedly seen the exceptional service the independent college bookstore provides to their campus community. My goal is to work with bookstores and their institutions to provide the software and wholesale solutions to enhance their operations and ensure future success,” stated Dillon.
